Sablatnigmoor. 19/05/92; Kärnten; 96 ha; 46°34'N 014°36'E. Council of Europe Biogenetic Reserve; Nature Reserve; Natura 2000 site. An area of fen in a glacial basin consisting of tall sedge and herb communities, wet grassland and broad-leaf deciduous forest. The site supports numerous species of flora and fauna of European concern such as the amphibians Rana arvalis and Bombina variegata, and it provides habitat for staging and several nationally endangered breeding birds, including great crested grebes, teals and little bitterns.
